My daughter looooves sushi. And that's why I thought it would be a great idea to make some at home even though she is the only one in our family who will eat it.
For our very first attempt I chose a simple maki roll with cucumber. For one - it is easy. Two - it is her favorite. Three - no fish = less prep time (as fish should be frozen before using it for sushi it is not a good spur of the moment dinner choice)
She had a friend from school over and they had a lot of fun making these.
My son also had a friend over for dinner - so three happy sushi eating kids in all.
We will absolutely make more sushi in the future. Maybe even with fish ;-)
